Community Events

Committed to the Health and Wellness of St. Charles County

To align with continued social distancing requirements and our commitment to help control community spread of contagious disease (e.g. coronavirus or flu), BJC HealthCare has suspended many in-person classes. Some exceptions are made for patient education sessions such childbirth/maternity and pre surgery. To stay connected, we continue to offer a variety virtual classes.

Childbirth and Parenting

  • Understanding Birth eClass: The childbirth center at Progress West Hospital has designed an interactive program to prepare parents for the birth of their newborn. Learn more.
  • Understanding Breastfeeding eClass: This web-based collection of videos will provide information to help you achieve the confidence to support your breastfeeding journey. Learn more
  • Safety Stop: Program to teach families how to install car seats, tips to adjust and fit your child’s bike helmet, child proofing your home and best sleep practices for your newborn. Learn more.
  • Babysitting 101: This class will cover a variety of topics that are essential to know prior to babysitting children. View classes.
  • Family & Friends CPR: This course uses the American Heart Association’s curriculum and teaches the lifesaving skills of CPR for adults, children and infants. View classes.
  • Staying Home Alone: This course will help prepare your child for independence and build confidence for the milestone of staying home alone. View classes.

Senior Health

St. Louis Oasis and several BJC hospitals offer a variety of programs to help older adults live more active lives. Find a class to meet your needs.  

Support Groups

  • Stoke Support Group: Whether you are a stroke survivor or taking care of a loved one, we invite you to join our support group community. Learn more and register. 

American Red Cross Blood Drives

In response to the low blood shortage in our community, BJC HealthCare is hosting blood drives on our campuses. Donors are required to select a time.
